Moodle Moot is a conference held in several countries around the world, dedicated to users, developers and administrators of the Moodle Virtual Environment of Teaching and Learning. In this meeting, is possible to obtain knowledge, establish partnerships and expand the scope of use of the solution such as adoption in prison units.
With the solution at na early stage of development the AVAPolos solution was presented to the technical staff of the Federal University of Santa Catarina localized in the city of Florianópolis. During the meeting those present gave imporant feedbacks, since they already had experience in developments related to Moodle.
The first pilot test was carried out by offering the Robotic Systems course. The objective was to test the operation of the solution outside the scope of development, with students and teachers who were completely unaware of the solution, performing tasks and activities aiming to analyze the behavior of the solution in a real application.
After conducting the pilot tests, some improvements and corrections were made to the solution, reaching the launch of the first functional prototype. This prototype was presented during a visit to Coordenation of the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), which financed the project, with the aim of presenting the progress of the solution and dazzling new perspectives for advances and improvements.
The I C3 Winter School was intended to offer a series of training courses for students and the general community of FURG, which emerged as a great opportunity to put the solution to work and assess their behavior.
As it is an event related to distance education, it was very important to be present. At CAPES invitation, the solution was presented during the event along with other projects, gaining a prominent place in the event. In addition, in the publications sections and article was presented by the project team, which reported the development and general use of the solution.
